Woke up early this morning with the words "Safe in the arms of Jesus, safe on His gentle breast..." Our dear 3 mth old grandson, Lincoln West went to be with the Lord on Monday Jan 22, 2018.
SIDS was the cause of death. A shock to my son and his wife but they have accepted that it was God's will. He is safe from the world's temptations, sin cannot harm him there. Free from the blight of sorrow, free from doubts and fear. Lincoln is safe with our soon coming Lord and Saviour. We'll all be with the Lord soon (1 Thess 4:13-18) all who know Him as Saviour. Blessed be His Name, Lord Jesus Christ.

As my 6 year old granddaughter has only days to live due to a brain tumour this hymn is a wonderful encouragement reminding us that we are all safe in the arms of Jesus no matter what difficulties or trials we are facing.

At a ladies group Bible study last week, we were discussing the Las Vegas shooting and one of the ladies commented "Where can you be safe any more?" Immediately Father put the title words to this beautiful hymn on my lips. I haven't heard this hymn in many years, but Father knew the response needed to her question! Praise His holy name!

I have known this Hymn since I was a child. Fanny J Crosby of blessed memory composed it. Though a powerful song, the present day church hardly knows nor sings it. May God visit His church with true riches and comfort as reflected in this Hynm. An urgent need of revivsl indeed.

I woke up this morning with a heavy heart ruminating over all the challenges that I have been going through over the past months. And before I could settle down to have my quiet time, the Holy Spirit just ministered this song to me and I started singing it. With these comforting words, I know I'm Safe in the arms of Jesus and sweetly my soul doth rest. Almighty God, Your word is yea and amen, it cannot return to You void. I have faith that I am safe in Your arms. No weapon formed against me shall prosper in the awesome name of Jesus.
