Take my life, and let it be

Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

During prayer, this song welled up in my heart. No matter the trials Lord let me be Yours now and forevermore. Amen.

The song just popped into my head and I had to sing it. No matter what everything belongs to him. He is worth everything.

During a quiet time this morning I read Deut 8 and this song, which I have not sung for some time, came to my mind. Though trials and challenges abound, I do not hesitate to embrace this song and its transforming words.

I re dedicate my life to You Lord Jesus. All I do, all I say, my moments and my days be for You alone.

Now I feel refreshed after singing this hymn, I feel like remaining in the presence of the Lord all my life... Father give me grace to use everything in me for your service

Meditating on romans 12:1-2 and this hymn dropped in my heart. As I sang it, I realized that this is what offering myself to God as a living sacrifice is - total surrender, yielding everything to God.

On this the 29th of June 2018, I, C. S. do here make this song the commitment and the challenge for my life. To be, in totality, God’s. To be used by Him for Him and to seek always His glory.

Thank You Lord for this refreshing hymn and thank You Holy spirit for placing this in my heart.

I love this hymn so much I've chosen it as one funeral hymn.
