I’m currently 3 days overdue with my second child—my first came early—and I have a scheduled induction if baby doesn’t come on its own. So it’s been a bit of a struggle to fully surrender. But I these last few days I’ve made a choice that no matter what happens, God is still good. This song is just beautiful! And a lovely reminder that our God is always with us and for us. And good will always come from every situation.
I've sung this hymn ever since I was a child, and it is a wonderful declaration of confidence concerning my spiritual state. That being said, our hymnbooks never contained that fourth verse. It's BEAUTIFUL! "Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul." Such true words! There would be no peace during dark days if God did not implant His PEACE there! :)
..... Before I was directed to this link I was already singing this song on my way to work and my heart was filled with joy and gratitude for what Christ has done for me! I trust it is another reminder that Gods mercies are new every morning and that he is with me always!
This song gives me hope for the life to come. I can not dare sing this song if it's not well with soul. When I sing this song Its a testimony both to God and to the world that I have chosen, trusted and believed on Christ therefore it's well with my Soul and God truly sees my heart that's it's well with my Soul because I have believed on His Son Our Lord Jesus Christ.
