Rock of Ages, cleft for me

Gospel Crying to the Lord

Neue Melodien1058
1
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and power,
Save me from its guilt and power.
2
Not the labor of my hands
Can fulfill Thy law’s demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears forever flow,
All could never sin erase,
Thou must save, and save by grace,
Thou must save, and save by grace.
3
Nothing in my hands I bring,
Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress,
Helpless, look to Thee for grace:
Foul, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Savior, or I die,
Wash me, Savior, or I die.
4
While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on Thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

Here’sa hymn story for Rock of Ages, cleft for me:

‘Twas in the house of mourning, yet with hope of having life and having it more abundantly, therein June 2007 last days; Wherein my youngest brother‘s was waning: us all intervals by his side, whiles unseen by us, death angel awaited at his death bed for entrance through death door. Oh, but not before the conceived desire/vision perceived in me, God orchestrated a symphony with the quickness:

Poignant day 23, Sat. i, by the Lord’s help, presented the song with understanding/knowledge, emotion, faith hope charity alongside and experience/testimony in which to deliver in sincerity; now, in reflection to day: the hymnal I held served as a comforter/blanket, my li’l heart welling-up into my eyes blurring the printed page fell thereon by gravity; so, thusly, I sang my heart out ~right~ 2 other fam members under th sound of my exuberant, tenderized voice

Fast-fwd16y5m to date, now happily an humbly, I submit, in Jesus’s name to our heavenly Father’s infinite wisdom, both to whom is worthy to receive blessing and honor and power and strength and wisdom and riches and glory, iam~ sisteregina k
