Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

Stumbled upon this song again and the Lord spoke to me through this hymn and through the week's Morning Revival (03/2026 ITERO wk. 3). God desires a corporate Body to express him for his dwelling place and satisfaction. We are first individually drawn to the Lord by his mercy. We then experience the Lord's reigning and overcoming life. Eventually, we realize our living should not be individualistic and for ourselves, but to live for the Body and in the Body. This requires us to grow in the divine life and deal with our flesh, self, and natural constitution. In this way, we can minister life to the Body according to our consciousness of the Body.

Lord, save me from the narrowness of my self. Grant me the experiences to grow in life and to know the Body. Grow in me, transform me, gain me, and blend me for your Body and your full expression.
