Where is the House

Scriptures for Singing

Neue Lieder402

Where is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?
Where then is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?
Heaven is My throne, and the earth
The footstool for My feet.
Where then is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?

For all these things My hand has made,
And so all these things have come into being,
declares Jehovah.
But to this kind of man will I look, to him who is poor
And of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Where then is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?
Where then is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?
Heaven is My throne, and the earth
The footstool for My feet.
Where then is the house you’ll build for Me,
And the place of My rest?

God has the heaven and the earth, but neither qualifies to be His dwelling place, His habitation. God desires to gain a house on earth where He can live and dwell in and among His people.

Lord, strengthen us into our inner man and enable us to go on with You so that we may return to the building up of the house of God! Gain the built-up church as the organic Body of Christ where You can dwell in and among man for Your corporate expression and representation🙏.

When we tell the Lord we are weak, and we are short we are declaring that we are poor! Thus we echo what's in His heart:

'But to this kind of man will I look, to him who is poor"

Wonderful song! And the commentary associated with this song is awesome! You can find it by clicking on the quotation marks next to the text bubble (just below the text of the song). It’s a solid read!
