Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

The entire song is very touching. Often tears are upon my eyes when I sing this song before the Lord. Thank You Lord for dying for us on the cross and purchasing us with Your precious blood. We now belong to Him, He is our master, therefore we need to live not just for Him or by Him but To the Lord who purchased us. Lord Keep us loving You, pursuing You daily and being saturated with You daily to magnify You.

When I was saved it is the first song I really love. It touches my whole being, it burn my spirit to love the Lord more than everything, it makes me feel that the Lord Jesus inside of me...how wonderful He is. Now I know He is the person whom I am longing for. I love you Lord.

I really treasure this song because it's a good prayer to pray to the Lord. My favorite part of the hymn is "Lord, I really want to know this Person inside of me. Lord, keep my heart open to You." There's a real Person in our being who wants to take over us completely. It can only happen if we turn our face to Him and let the face of our heart behold Him and reflect Him. To turn our heart to Him is not a small matter; rather, it is a colossal matter because it causes us to know this precious Person in our spirit. I REALLY want to know Him, His preferences, His opinions, His way, and His perfect will by turning to Him and keeping my heart open to Him every moment!
