Jesus, but we see Jesus,
Who was made
A little inferior,
Inferior to the angels
Because of the suffering of death,
Crowned with glory and honor,
Glory and honor,
So that by the grace of God
He might, He might taste death
On behalf of everything.
Who was made
A little inferior,
Inferior to the angels
Because of the suffering of death,
Crowned with glory and honor,
Glory and honor,
So that by the grace of God
He might, He might taste death
On behalf of everything.
Fitting, for it was fitting,
Fitting for Him,
For whom are all things
And through whom are all things,
In leading many sons into glory,
To make the Author of their salvation
Perfect through sufferings.
So that by the grace of God
He might, He might taste death
On behalf of everything.
Fitting for Him,
For whom are all things
And through whom are all things,
In leading many sons into glory,
To make the Author of their salvation
Perfect through sufferings.
So that by the grace of God
He might, He might taste death
On behalf of everything.
For which cause He is not ashamed,
Not ashamed to call them brothers.
Not ashamed to call them brothers.

My favorite hymn of all time! I have enjoyed singing this to the Lord each morning for years. Our precious Lord Jesus was made perfect through sufferings. By the grace of God, He tasted death on our behalf and behalf of everything to produce us as full grown sons, following Him as our Author and Captain of salvation, who is leading us into glory! Praise the Lord for such an endlessly profound passage put to the most beautiful music!
