Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

Why I like this song. The heart is where the Lord wants to make His home (Eph. 3:17a), because the Lord is a Gentleman, everything depends on our cooperation. The heart is composed of three parts, the mind, emotion, will plus the conscience, which is the leading part of our spirit. How wonderful to know our God wants us to be His home for His corporate expression and also to subdue the earth and have dominion over it (Gen. 1:26-28). Oh how precious it is to have hymns like this to encourage us to love the Lord and cooperate with Him by His "constraining love"-I love You Lord, dearest Lord, I love You, I just love You! AMEN.

To my surprise, I am listening to "Lord, keep my heart..." like for the first time on this site now. I was trying to search for hymns on loving the Lord to recommend to one of my colleagues. Yesterday, I shared with him concerning loving the Lord Jesus.

I must say that the timing of the hymn is perfect. I was immediately drawn to the Lord at the opening strains of this hymn. The flavour and emotion just flowed with the tempo, melody and words. This is one of those unforgettable hymns that have made an impact on my life.

I learned this song three years ago, when I was in 1 month perfecting training.I love this song very much!

This hymn affect my living and draw me nearer and closer to my Beloved One - the LORD. I usually cried when I sang this song to my LORD. I feel sorry to Him for I've been not loyal and true to Him all the times. But I know.....He is always there with me.....and He still loves me as well.....LORD, I give my heart, myself, and everything to YOU!

It is deep, very deep cry out to the Lord from my heart/spirit when I sing this song to Him. Praise the Lord! He is able to lead us to love Him more. God already promised to give this pure/new/true heart to us (Ezekiel 36:26) and it is now in the all-inclusive Spirit. We need to come to the Lord everyday, every moment to ask Lord to realize it in us.
