Meetings Exhibiting Christ

English864
1
Whene’er we meet with Christ endued,
The surplus of His plenitude
We offer unto God as food,
And thus exhibit Christ.

Let us exhibit Christ,
Let us exhibit Christ;
We’ll bring His surplus to the church
And thus exhibit Christ.
2
In Christ we live, by Christ we fight,
On Christ we labor day and night,
And with His surplus we unite
To thus exhibit Christ.
3
Our life and all we are and do
Is Christ Himself, the substance true,
That every time we meet anew
We may exhibit Christ.
4
In meetings Christ to God we bear
And Christ with one another share,
And Christ with God enjoying there,
We thus exhibit Christ.
5
The risen Christ to God we bring,
And Christ ascended offering,
God’s satisfaction answering,
We thus exhibit Christ.
6
The center and reality,
The atmosphere and ministry,
Of all our meetings is that we
May thus exhibit Christ.
7
The testimony and the prayer,
And all the fellowship we share,
The exercise of gifts, whate’er,
Should just exhibit Christ.
8
The Father we would glorify,
Exalting Christ the Son, thereby
The meeting’s purpose satisfy
That we exhibit Christ.

What an expression of Christ, typified by the riches of Canaan, it must have been when many thousands of Old Testament believers brought all those riches to their feasts. Today, we are expressing the reality of those types, all over the earth in our gatherings, large and small. These feasts satisfy both us and God. He is finally getting His expression on earth and is ushering in His dominion over His and our enemies. What a glory to God!

Heb. 10:25 We are warned not to forsake the gathering together. This hymn shows us how valuable the meetings are and that we should exhibit our Christ there. 1 Peter 2:9 You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, an acquired possession, that you might show fourth the virtues (exhibit ) of Him who has called you…. The center and reality of our Christian life, Christ, must be exhibited in all the meetings, We must care for our daily life that we experience Christ and that there is even a surplus or overflow to share in the meetings and everywhere.

Oh how blessed it is to labour on Christ our All-inclusive Land! Lord continue to operate in us both the willing and the working that we may produce more of You to the extent of having a surplus to supply others, and to satisfy God, and give Him pleasure!
