Nothing between, Lord, nothing between

Longings For Fellowship with Christ

English373
1
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Let me Thy glory see,
Draw my soul close to Thee,
Then speak in love to me—Nothing between.
2
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Let not earth’s din and noise
Stifle Thy still small voice;
In it let me rejoice—Nothing between.
3
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Nothing of earthly care,
Nothing of tear or prayer,
No robe that self may wear—Nothing between.
4
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Unbelief disappear,
Vanish each doubt and fear,
Fading when Thou art near—Nothing between.
5
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Shine with unclouded ray,
Chasing each mist away,
O’er my whole heart bear sway—Nothing between.
6
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Thus may I walk with Thee,
Thee only may I see,
Thine only let me be—Nothing between.
7
Nothing between, Lord, nothing between;
Till Thine eternal light,
Rising on earth’s dark night,
Bursts on my open sight—Nothing between.

This hymn brings me under a subject of reflection to looking forward and searching myself of some cripples things that may creeps themselves into my life and hinder me from the love of God and not seeing my Lord at the final day... Nothing Between is a sober reflecting song.

Lord, my dear desire and prayer is that keep me pure daily, remove everything that could stand between You and me, things that could look very gainful here on earth but has no eternal value.

Each time I listen to this song, it has always be my desire to be pure like Thee O Lord. Keep me Holy and pure until Your face I behold in heaven.

I woke up this morning singing this hymn. Many mornings I am led to this hymn. Nothing between is my heart fully turned to the Lord. The pure in heart seen God.

I realize this morning, that I only think there is nothing between. Self, the world, my personal cares and concerns, my unbelief, doubt and fear all hinder me from fully seeing my Lord Jesus Christ.

We all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror, the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Any time I singor meditate on the wordings of this song, I am propelled to reach out for the matchless grace of God through our savior Jesus Christ for more His refreshness, renewal and spiritual enoblementment that will draw me more closer to Him and more heavenly minded. Lord, I am always pleading that nothing between till we meet face to face yonder up there in the mansions on high.

I like this song because I often allow many things come between the Lord and me. I would like a clear fellowship with Him. I have no peace within when things are between Lord and I. I need the Lord's mercy that He would clear away all the walls, hindrances, and barriers that frustrate my fellowship with Him.
