It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand, For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand; And the cables passed from His heart to mine, Can defy the blast, through strength divine.

It will firmly hold in the straits of fear, When the breakers have told the reef is near; Though the tempest rave and the wild winds blow, Not an angry wave shall our bark o’erflow.

Am not used to singing hymns but praises anytime to God probably bcos am not a chorister but the day my Pastor taught us this hymn, av fallen in love with every line : Its soul lifting & inspiring especially in such a time like this we're experiencing economic meltdown. To God be the glory!!!!
May God bless the soul He used to put up something of this great value, amen.
A great favourite; one that's not sung often enough. The robust words remind me of the strength and assurance that we have in Christ. Its a touch-stone for me, as I've been plagued with insecurity all my life, making that reminder all the more important to me. Just one question - why did you miss the last verse off?
"Will your eyes behold through the gathering night, the city of gold, the harbour bright? Will you anchor fast by the heavenly shore, with the storms all past, to sail no more?"
Hebrews 6:19-20 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered in our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
