                            And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! how can it be

                            ’Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies!
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the firstborn seraph tries
To sound the depths of love Divine!
’Tis mercy all! let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.

                            He left His Father’s throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace;
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race:
’Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me.
’Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me.

                            Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray,
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

                            No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness Divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
                                                              No condemnation now I dread;

Amazing love! how can it be...
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Amen. I Love Jesus Christ!

Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me.

For Brenda in Kentucky; a seraph may be a shortened version of the word seraphim. ( Angel? ) 1 Peter 1:12
An interest in the Savior's blood may be an interest one might have in finding the Way to having a relationship with God.
Or if someone has an interest or an investment in a business, they will be keeping their mind on that " business interest" to make sure it is profitable and not an investment-loser. Do I have an interest in the shed blood of the Lamb of God? Am I invested there? I will be watching my investment grow, if I am. Hebrews 9:22

One of my favorite hymns. It is so comforting to see so many Christians from so many countries responding. Reminds me of the words of another hymn: "When the Lord shall count the nations, sons and daughters he shall see, born to endless life in Zion, and their joyful song shall be: "blessed Zion, blessed Zion, all our fountains are in thee."

Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
While I was pursuing Him to His death, I didn't realize He was dying for me. Truly amazing love.

Long my imprisoned spirit lay fast bound in sin and nature's night. But Jesus the Light of the world cause the dungeon to be flamed with light. My chains fell off and my heart was set free. I rose, went forth and followed Him. Thank Jesus for the cross
