The love of God is greater far

Worship of the Father His Love

English28
1
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
2
When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
3
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

It is impossible for us to love each other unless we have truly experienced God's love.

The Love of God covers and sustains all His believers. It is deeper, greater, and richer than we have words for. If you have touched upon the Love of God you will never ever be the same. The Love of God is so sweet tender and true. And never forget the Love of God covers a multitude of sins. As far as the east is from the west is how far our sin has been removed from us.

I'll be trusting God to give the next stanza to this poem that expresses God's in an unimaginable way. God bless the writer.

The love of God! So rich and pure. Heard Bill Gaither sing this recently on a YouTube clip and I was hooked. Started looking for the verses and here we are.

I grew up in Pasadena and went to the same church that "Brother" Lehman attended. (Assembly of God) His daughter was one of my Sunday School teachers. This was in the '30 so Fred was well up in years but he and his wife sang this song as a duet and I shall never forget it. They put so much feeling into it.
