Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

Praise of the Lord His Goodness

English166
1
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy
health and salvation!
All ye who hear,
Now to His temple draw near;
Sing now in glad adoration!
2
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all
things so wondrously reigneth,
Who, as on wings of an eagle,
uplifteth, sustaineth.
Hast thou not seen
How thy desires all have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
3
Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully,
wondrously, made thee!
Health hath vouchsafed and, when
heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee.
What need or grief
Ever hath failed of relief?
Wings of His mercy did shade thee.
4
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper
thy work and defend thee,
Who from the heavens the streams of
His mercy doth send thee.
Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do,
Who with His love doth befriend thee.
5
Praise to the Lord! Oh, let all that
is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come
now with praises before Him!
Let the Amen
Sound from His people again;
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

Let's ponder anew what the Almighty can do in our generation.

He's the same as in times of old where:

Iron floats on water.
Money found in the mouth of fish
Multitudes fed by two fishes and five
loaves of bread.
May these miracles be found again.

This my late wife's best hymn, I got sinked into the hymn as well when she was sick before she passed on, inspite of the fact that she was really down, she sang it with all her soul, now that I am living I whole heartedly sing it and enjoy it to her sweet memories and honour to God Almighty.

“Praise to the Lord the Almighty the King of Creation”. these lyrics rose up in me this morning after some worship time. Had to look them up! My fiery preacher father sang this hymn with robust fervor to our God!! So grateful he loved the hymns. The truths are still echoing to us….. Today I am “pondering anew what the Almighty can do”

Again, my soul has brought to me this hymn this morning. I sing with all pleasure and inner strength. The Lord is indeed faithful.

Have being getting this song in my spirit all week. Remember singing it in church growing up so googled the lyrics and I have to say this is an amazing song of praise to our Maker, Lord of Lords and King of kings. Such a regal bold hymn to the best Papa, Father and Husband a girl could ever want or need. All glory honour and praise to our God. May we praise Him more and more in all we think say and do and remember to encourage, exhort and build one another up in the faith and pray for one another and carry one another's burdens. To God be the glory

Was having a moment of reflection and meditation about my life and all the chaos surrounding us all over the world. Before I started to pray I started singing this hymn and searched the web for the lyrics. May God have mercy on all of us and forgive us our sins and trespasses. 🙏
