『這是從17節開始所引約珥豫言的結語，指明神將祂的靈澆灌在一切屬肉體的人身上，結果乃是叫他們藉著呼求主名得救。神將祂的靈澆灌下來，就是將主的救恩應用在祂所揀選的人身上。得救乃是接受這靈，這靈就是神新約經綸裏福音的福。（加三2，5，14。）這靈乃是主自己成了我們的氣息（約二十22）和活水。（約四10，14。）我們要吸入祂作我們的氣息，並飲於祂作我們的活水，就需要呼求祂。哀三55～56（英譯美國標準本）指明，呼求主就是呼吸；賽十二3～4指明，呼求主就是喝水。我們信主以後，需要呼求祂，使我們不僅能得救，更能享受祂的豐富。（羅十12～13。）我們運用靈呼求祂，吸祂，喝祂，就能享受祂的豐富。這纔是對神真正的敬拜。主把這敬拜，（約四24，）聯於飲祂所賜的活水。（約四14。）』徒二21註3
