There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus

1
There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! no, not one!
None else could heal all our souls’ diseases:
No, not one! no, not one!
  Jesus knows all about our struggles;
He will guide ’til the day is done:
There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:
No, not one! no, not one!
2
No friend like Him is so high and holy,
No, not one! no, not one!
And yet no friend is so meek and lowly,
No, not one! no, not one!
3
There’s not an hour that He is not near us,
No, not one! no, not one!
No night so dark, but His love can cheer us,
No, not one! no, not one!
4
Did ever saint find this Friend forsake him?
No, not one! no, not one!
Or sinner find that He would not take him?
No, not one! no, not one!
5
Was e’er a gift like the Savior given?
No, not one! no, not one!
Will He refuse us the bliss of heaven?
No, not one! no, not one!

This song means a lot to me, it is personal. No one loves me or cares about me, like Jesus do.

When I am down or up, He is still the same .

Jesus knows all about our struggles;

He will guide ’til the day is done:

There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus:

No, not one! no, not one!

Etimbuk Etim, indeed! Jesus is a friend like no other!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

King Jesus, amazing friend!!

I woke up with the song in my heart. It is worth noting that Jesus does not only knows about our struggles but that He is able to guide us if we trust Him as a friend. In deed, He is a friend like no other.

He's a wonderful God indeed...

I remember when I finished my secondary school then... I was unable to further my education... No helper

Someone told me to come and do housemaid so that they will send me to school cause have spent like 5years staying at home... When the school I applied started giving admission then I didn't see mine but I keep on praying...

This people am staying with sent me out from their house without no reason... I went back to our house.... I lost hope then cause I don't know who is going to help again...

The institution gave me admission the following month and I was happy and also sad cause have been thinking how to pay all the fees.... But God surprised me... Even more than my expectations.... He's a miracle working God... A hope for the hopeless

Woke up singing this hymn in my spirit. My heart was heavy with all my struggles and I searched for this hymn, listening to it several times, and I felt happier and lighter in my spirit knowing that Jesus, God and the holy spirit know about all my struggles and is with me

Jesus' humility is captured by the phrase lowly.

James 4:6 (KJV) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

This song is soul-refreshing. Indeed there's no friend like the lowly JESUS. I love you, Lord. Thank you for your unfailing love💕
