Forth from God’s glorious temple

1
Forth from God’s glorious temple
Bursts a great torrent divine,
A mighty flood through its entrance
Unto its boundary line.
  God’s living water
Brings the refreshing supply
Death has been swallowed completely
In the abundance of life.
2
Everything works to God’s glory
As unobstructed it flows;
Then, of the utmost importance,
All on the altar must go.
3
This water flows without limit;
All has been measured by God;
All things are now His possession,
Judged by His measuring rod.
4
Water of life, overflowing,
Now is a great rushing tide.
Man can no longer act freely;
By grace alone we abide.
