Under His wings I am safely abiding;
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can trust Him, I know He will keep me;
He has redeemed me, and I am His child.
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can trust Him, I know He will keep me;
He has redeemed me, and I am His child.
Under His wings, under His wings,
Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide,
Safely abide forever.
Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide,
Safely abide forever.

Under His wings—what a refuge in sorrow!
How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing,
There I find comfort, and there I am blest.
How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing,
There I find comfort, and there I am blest.

Under His wings—oh, what precious enjoyment!
There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er;
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me;
Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.
There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er;
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me;
Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.

"Under His wings I'm safely abiding. No evil can harm me... sheltered protected resting in Jesus I'm safe ever more." That's my testimony! Hallelujah! Today is my birthday! I'm 67 years old. God has kept me sheltered and protected under His wings. I haven't sung this hymn for many years but while I was in prayer just now the Holy Spirit downloaded this hymn in my spirit. This is my happy birthday gift from Jesus that He got me! Thank you Jesus I needed that assurance. God bless you all🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

I'm a Christian 77 years old and have been a believer since age 26, and God has been so good to me and my wife of 55 years. When I was a kid we had a banty hen who had a bunch of chicks that were learning the life of a chicken when one day a hawk swooped down on her and apparently repeatedly pecked her head, killing her. When we arrived, hearing the commotion, all her chicks came out from under her wings. She must have realized the danger and coaxed them to the only safe place she knew, under her wings. And there they were safe and secure though it cost her life. Since I first trusted Christ this has reminded me of what Christ did for me, under His wings. The Psalmist in Psalm 91:4 may have experienced a similar scene. It is interesting to me that a hen with such a small brain, and her chicks with even smaller brains, yet have more sense than the billions of humans who will spend forever in a Christ-less eternity for lack of not being sheltered under Christ's wings.

I am again reminded of the assurance of God’s love, protection and care. In whose wings I am at and in peace. The song is like a warm tight embrace that vanishes all the heavy weights of the heart

Tomorrow is my 80th birthday. I have been very healthy but a week ago I fell and got a concussion/small brain bleed. I'm recovering well but struggling in the process. I've been a lifelong believer.... born into the home of Christian missionaries and receiving salvation for myself at age 7. The past few months the Lord has been daily dropping spiritual songs and old hymns into my heart to encourage me. At about 7:30PM today's hymn popped into my heart. It is the above song, Under His Wings. I had not heard or sung that song in a very long time but it arrived today at just the right time! God is Good!
