關於簡譜

簡譜（Numbered Notation）以 1 到 7 的數字來表示旋律中的每個音，而不是用五線譜上的音符。數字代表這個音在該曲調音階中的級數，而非絕對音高，所以無論用什麼調演唱，同一首曲子的簡譜寫法都一樣。

同一個八度內，數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 對應大家熟悉的唱名 Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti。數字上方加一點，表示高八度；下方加一點，表示低八度──不加點則是原本書寫的中央八度。

單獨一個數字代表一拍。數字後面緊接一條短橫線（-），表示這個音延長一拍。數字下方加一條底線則相反，表示縮短時值──一條底線是半拍，兩條底線是四分之一拍。「0」代表休止符，也就是停頓一拍。

譜面最上方的標示，例如「1=C」或「1=Ab」，說明級數 1（「Do」）對應的實際音高。小調樂曲則標示「6=X」──級數 6（「La」）才是真正的主音。音符上方的和絃名稱（如「C」或「G7」）一律使用熟悉的字母名稱，不會改成數字。

例如在「1=C」的標示下，數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 唱出來是 C D E F G A B；在「1=G」的標示下，同樣的數字 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 卻唱出 G A B C D E F#──形狀相同，調性不同。

This song was carefully crafted and spiritually inspired. When we reflect the image of God in our individual lives, the world will be a little better than it is today. May God stamp his image in our lives today.

While enjoying this hymn, was thinking”how can we be like Him? How can we express Him? ” Yes, the last line of chorus says “stamp Thine own image deep on my heart. ” But how does that happen? I realize when I allow the Lord to make His home deep down in my heart, by allowing Him to rule and reign in me, when I am headed up in Him in all things great and small, His image is stamped deep on my heart! To aspire to be like Jesus is a very good thing! He was tempted in all points like as we yet without sin. His desire was to be like His and our Father God! So thankful that we have the Holy Spirit’s help in our journey. May His Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven. Us being like Jesus will hasten that along.

How dear it is to read responses from brothers and sisters from distant places to this song. It is a wonderful prayer to sing or to speak to our Father, and it is also His goal that we should be like His Son. Such a humbling and encouraging thought! Amen.
