|Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
|Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty,
|By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
|Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing
|Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
I came across the French version "a Golgotha" 3weeks ago , singing it always made away into the Throne of God." C'est la que mes fardeaux don't tombes

This morning this hymn popped into my mind & I tried to look it up in several different old denominational hymn books and it just was not there. I began to think I was wrong about the title being "At Calvary" so I found your website & thankfully the song was there. I remember back in the 1950's the strong presence of the Holy Spirit as my grandfather led the singing of this song back in a tiny wooden church building in Palatka Florida. This was a real blessing today as the warmth of the Holy Spirit continually brings me into the Father's presence.

Indeed a blessed assurance for being a recipient of God's mercy. Knowing that He created salvations plan to deliver me from the pit of hell. Praise His name forever. He is worthy to be praised and Glorified.

Reminds me of the pit I once was, Never new of Christ sacrifice until His Word was imparted unto me. Sin does bring shame and ultimately death but Christ Definitely brings Life and Peace. Jeremiah 29:11
