This song reminds of home and I never really paid attention to the song until I came to Tallahassee and it gave me peace to study and help me through out my day.

Thank you for posting this song/hymn. I woke up with it on my heart and so after my devotion I looked it up and found it here and thoroughly enjoyed singing it. Will sing it later with my family. Praise the Lord God for the Cross! May we glory in it always! Thank God for the security we have in our relationship to Christ! Indeed nothing will sever us from Christ and His cross! My husband is a drunk. On those bad nights when he come in and want to raise all kind of fuss. I turn to this song and find peace in the midst of the storm. Believing their is no secret what God can do as long as I stay near the cross. I always say my husband must be my cross to bear because everyone has one.

Wow! This brings back memories; baptist church in Cape Town: I am now 75 yrs old: I remember this hymn was sung when a call was made to give your heart to Jesus our Redeemer: a sister started singing this hymn.
