Brothers, I do not account of myself

Brothers, I do not account of myself to have laid hold;
But one thing—
Forgetting the things which are behind
And stretching forward to what is before,
I pursue toward the goal
For the prize of the high calling
The high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I remember singing this back when I was a college freshman in 2001. Because of this song, I remember this verse so well. I have been enjoying Christ as our unique goal, destiny, and prize. We just need to laid hold of Him and He laid of us.

Amen.

I remember this song was introduced to my Espinosa's home meeting through trainees Bobby and Justin when I was only a year into the church life (2011!?). Odd to see this added just now! The song can be split in half and sung at the same time; very harmonious and uplifting when we did this. I'll always remember. . . :-)
