He leadeth me! O blessed thought

Experience of Christ Following Him

1
He leadeth me! O blessed thought,
O words with heav’nly comfort fraught;
Whate’er I do, where’er I be,
Still ’tis Christ’s hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me! He leadeth me!
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful follower I would be,
For by His hand He leadeth me.
2
Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
By waters still, o’er troubled sea,
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.
3
Lord, I would clasp Thy hand in mine,
Nor ever murmur or repine;
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since it is Thou that leadest me.
4
And when my task on earth is done,
When, by Thy grace, the vict’ry’s won,
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
Since Thou in triumph leadest me.

How comforting it is to know that the HOLY SPIRIT leads us. HE woke me up this morning with this song in my heart I couldn't find it in my hymnal so I googled it. It was just so refreshing for me as I sang this song beginning my day knowing that the Holy SPIRIT leadeth me. He's our Guide, Comforter, Shield, Deliverer, Provider, Strong Tower, Redeemer and Saviour who leads us through the valley and restores our souls. If you do not yet received JESUS CHRIST as your LORD AND SAVIOR I'm inviting you to do so now that you too will have that confidence that someone is leading you through life's journey. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME TO Find THE SONG THAT WOKE ME UP. My SOUL WAS REFRESHED.

This is my favourite hymn. It stirs my soul anytime I listen to it. O how sweet it is to trust Christ for salvation and knowing you are truly saved as a result of that.

Friends, if you haven't done that yet, you've just got the next minute to do so. Heaven is real as well as Hell. Trust Jesus Christ today for Salvation and thou, shall be saved.

The Holy Spirit often puts a song in my head and heart at very low times and I find myself singing it while quietly doing housework. I will run to look up all verses to see what message I need to receive from the beautiful hymn. I haven't heard this hymn in 30 years. The verses are so pertinent for me today. Thank You God for the Holy Spirit that comforts and leads us.

God leads us even through difficult, seemingly unbearable path but if only we can trust Him enough to put our hands in His hand He will lead us through the wilderness to pasture green (expected end) for He alone knows the way through the wilderness all we have to do is to follow. Most times the other side seem greener but, as faithful followers we must learn to say "though the other side seem greener but where You've kept for me is good enough for me.

All I Can Say Is Thank You to my Father above and keep this site going. I remember this song as a boy growing up in a great bible teaching church.
