When we walk with the Lord
  In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
  While we do His good will,
  He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
DWhen
we walk with the Lord
In the
Alight
of

What a

While we

who will

and

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
  But to trust and obey.
ATrust

Not a shadow can rise,
  Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
  Not a doubt or a fear,
  Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise,
  Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
  Not a doubt or a fear,
  Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
  Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
  Not a grief or a loss,
  Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
Not a burden we bear,
  Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
  Not a grief or a loss,
  Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
  The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
  For the favor He shows,
  And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
But we never can prove
  The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
  For the favor He shows,
  And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
  We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
  What He says we will do;
  Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet
  We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
  What He says we will do;
  Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

May the Lord Jesus Christ credit to the account of the writer of this hymn eternal blessing for obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit in writing the hymn.

Through this hymnal we are thought and given the keys in knowing how to : 1. Sit at the feet of the KING OF kings

2. Walk with the KING OF GLORY

3. Obey the will of Our Saviour and HE abiding with us

4. Toil for HIS name sake

5. Lay our all on the altar......

Great keys for a glorious living as children of the MOST HIGH GOD.

Beautiful hymn to encourage our obedience and put God's plans into action. I am sharing it with my Bible study group as we move through the last chapters of Henry Blackaby's "Experiencing God." Thank you to those who created this site. These old hymns have the power to bring us all a little closer to His will and a little closer together. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

This is a lovely hymn, only one he wrote and it was ashame that the Methodist Church left it out of their new hymm book singing in faith.

I love and find myself singing the refrain all the time.
