There is a fountain filled with blood Drawn from Immanuel’s veins; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains: Lose all their guilty stains, Lose all their guilty stains; And sinners, plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains.

The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away: Wash all my sins away, Wash all my sins away; And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away.
The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,

Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Shall never lose its power, Till all the ransomed ones of God Be saved, to sin no more: Be saved, to sin no more, Be saved, to sin no more; Till all the ransomed ones of God, Be saved to sin no more.

E’er since by faith I saw the stream Thy flowing wounds supply, Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die: And shall be till I die, And shall be till I die; Redeeming love has been my theme, And shall be till I die.
E'er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

When this poor lisping, stammering tongue Lies silent in the grave, Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save: I’ll sing Thy power to save, I’ll sing Thy power to save; Then in a nobler, sweeter song, I’ll sing Thy power to save.
Men Who wrote songs we're singing up to today had a relationship with God that many writing songs today can't relate with. The messages in the songs are for eternity. Singing such songs meditatively calls men to prayer and Thanksgiving for the blood of Jesus Christ. My late mom taught us these songs in our local language from young age we grew up singing them.. and oh my ... Sweet melodies
Hallelujah! We have been purchased, our robes are washed in the blood of the Lamb, and we proclaim Christ! We come to the Lord and partake of all His riches and blessings. Praise the Lord! 😀
Zec. 13:1 In that day there will be an opened fountain for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for impurity.
This opened fountain is Christ's pierced side (John 19:34, 37). Two substances came out of Lord's pierced side: blood and water... The blood formed a fountain for the washing away of sin and the water became the fountain of life.
Thank the Lord for the fountain filled with blood, where we can plunged beneath and lose all our guilty stains!
@Tama Bouncer... I found the original lyrics and it contains more verses and the 5th verse is written that way. Sounds like you got a wonderful old hymnal.
