It’s no longer I that liveth

1
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me.
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me.
He lives, He lives,
Jesus is alive in me!
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me.

In the Salvation Army our words for this chorus are slightly different.

"It's no longer I that liveth,

But Christ that liveth in me.

It's no longer I that liveth,

But Christ that liveth in me.

In me! In me!

Jesus Christ's alive in me!

It's no longer I that liveth,

But Christ that liveth in me."

I haven't heard this song or even recalled in about 20 odd years...until this morning. I woke up from sleep with it ring in my heart. I had to look for the exact words on the internet. I have since been hoping about and singing it all day. Praise God!

I love this song, not only because it says the truth but also because sally ellis who wrote it, is my grandma's sister :)

What a relief! It's no longer I that liveth! Galatians 2:20 - By singing this hymn, I am brought to a level above any situation that I may be going through. It's a way to experience an organic salvation...salvation from ourselves!

It is Christ Jesus that is living in me!! Oh how marvelous He is! I only want Him to live!! It's no longer I who lives! I really appreciate this song because it reminds me that He desires to live in me. 'No longer I! 'Christ in me I'll testify! Oh Lord, live through and through in me!!!
