What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge— Take it to the Lord in prayer; Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.

I realized that this song remind me the love of God through Christ ... Praise to the Lord ... To the composer I give a special thanks and may God bless ..... Thank you Lord for saving me. It is a privilege yes, that he choosing me from this world and be apart with Him soon I pray that God binding me n all the believer who believe in Christ who is the only way to the Abba Father .... God be with you all..
This morning I woke up from sleep with this hymn on my lips. I was hearing it inside of myself - hard to describe. I experienced such a relief from a deeply troubling period in my life. Remarkable! I was so moved that I researched the history of the hymn and for the first time came to terms with its power to heal. Yes, what a friend we have in Jesus!
Jesus is a friend for all seasons and at all times. Once He’s your friend He’s truly your friend. He will never leave you nor forsake you. What a friend!
This song came to me when I was praying this morning. I've been anxious and troubled about several things. Today I told the Lord that it's too much for me to bear and I want to give it all to Him. He is a faithful friend. I know He will carry me through this season.
Today the Lord has reminded me this is His narrative for me, not the threatening illness facing my wife. My narrative is Him, all He is and that I belong to the greatest Friend!
Being abandoned and forgotten by those I called friends, I was reminded of this precious hymn. It helped me to remember who my REAL friend is, and most importantly, to seek Him out for my comfort and refuge, rather than others.
I hope someone readng this, who is hurt and feels forgotten, will make the effort to call upon Jesus for help. I guarantee that, if you truly seek Him, He will answer your call and set you free.
