Through all the changing scenes of life

Through all the changing scenes of life,
  In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
  My heart and tongue employ.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
  With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
  He to my rescue came.
The hosts of God encamp around
  The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
  Who on His succor trust.
Oh, make but trial of His love,
  Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
  Who in His truth confide.
Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then
  Have nothing else to fear;
Make you His service your delight,
  Your wants shall be His care.

I love this hymn so dearly, have not heard it for a very long time. Cannot get it out of my head. I hear it in my head during the night, songs of praise.

Have been hearing this song within my spirit since dawn and one stanza that kept on repeating itself is 3. Indeed the host of God or His angels encamp around the dwelling of the just. My family and I are a living testmony to this. Thank You Abba Father.

I love this song not only because of its lyrics but the where its says "make you His service your delight and He will make your wont His Care" .The Truth is what do I want more than God? And if He is going to Care for my want by just doing His will then God I won't stop doing Your work. Dear reader, this is not only a song but the whole Bible as well.

Stay Blessed by making His Service your delight.

My mom loved the song. Am singing it now to feel better. The aftermath of a divorce.

My dad used to sing this song a lot when I was young. It recently came to my mind and brought tears to my eyes....

An inspiring hymn. The words in it gave me all the assurance I needed when things became very difficult for me some years ago. Now I look back and I sing it with so much joy. Brethren please listen and focus on the words and you will hear the voice of the LORD speaking to you. Will forever remain one of my best hymns.

I once overlooked this song as we sang it almost every time whether at church or at rehearsal, until I was called to do an exposition of Psalm 34, that was when I came to appreciate the words of the song. The words are deep and make us understand that in all our circumstances - whether in joy or pain, we have to praise our Maker. The hosts of God will still dwell with us as we are just and we obey Him. In all situations, He is with us and as we obey Him and delight in His service, our wants will surely be His cares. What a blessed assurance!!

This was a song I loved and cherished so much years back when I was a Methodist. Unfortunately I forgot this song because it's uncommon to hear it in Pentecostal churches where I am now. I received bad text mesage this morning and while narrating and expressing my pain to a friend, the song quickly dropped into my spirit. I began singing it on the phone and cut the conversation. After searching and going through all the verses of the song, I was relieved and comforted. I've now typed all the verses unto my iPad and will carry it with me.
