Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

1
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,
  the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy
  health and salvation!
    All ye who hear,
Now to His temple draw near;
Sing now in glad adoration!
2
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all
  things so wondrously reigneth,
Who, as on wings of an eagle,
  uplifteth, sustaineth.
    Hast thou not seen
How thy desires all have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
3
Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully,
  wondrously, made thee!
Health hath vouchsafed and, when
  heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee.
    What need or grief
Ever hath failed of relief?
Wings of His mercy did shade thee.
4
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper
  thy work and defend thee,
Who from the heavens the streams of
  His mercy doth send thee.
    Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do,
Who with His love doth befriend thee.
5
Praise to the Lord! Oh, let all that
  is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come
  now with praises before Him!
    Let the Amen
Sound from His people again;
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

A few night's back, I was singing this hymn in my dream. It's just been in my spirit ever since...

This was one of the very lovely hymns I used to sing joyfully with the congregation, then in church, as a young girl.

Today the spirit nudged me again... and I googled the lyrics... Every simgle stanza... so so rereassuring! So refreshing!!!

I have been praying for a mind blowing, eye marvelling, ear tingling miracle for my family and I...

Towards the end of stanza 4, it says " ponder anew, what the Almighty can do"

Thank you oh God Almighty for this visitation! There is apsolutely nothing impossible for our God to do. This is so reassuring!!!. While waiting, we receive our miracle by faith🤲 and continue to give our God High praise🙌🙌🙌. Thank you JESUS🙏.

After a second long night with my dying mother in inpatient hospice, I got up and went to the family break room for coffee. While pouring my cup, some of the lyrics and tune of this hymn came into my mind out of nowhere. Had been getting mom’s service ready ahead of time, but this was never known to be one of her favorites. I’d sung it before long ago, but had never paid attention to it. Anyway when with coffee I returned back to her side, I googled the lyrics and sang it softly to her. I was overwhelmed at how appropriate and true the thoughts in the lyrics had been, this past hard week, and my whole life. Now I will memorize and sing this song anew. Join me in glad adoration!

For some reason, I sing this hymn every day now. I live in the USA, but sang this hymn at Westlake Boy's High School, NZ.

I will go to my church tomorrow, Tuesday, and sing this hymn.

Our Lord.

Sang this and many other beautiful hymns in our school, Bishop Cotton School, Bangalore, morning assembly, 3rd Std, 1961, and later on in the Chapel in the Boys school, this is one of my favorite hymns. Brings back a lot of memories and also this is part of the foundation of our faith in Jesus and God

I too, work up this morning with this song in my spirit. I "thank God for His grace and mercy towards the children of men."

This is one of the many favourite hymns I learnt in Secondary School. It is truly a blessing to sing this song during my morning worship. "Praise to the Lord, who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth.." Thank You God for sending Your only begotten Son to clean me up and draw me back to You. "Praise O Praise my God and King. Hallelujah!

What shall I render unto the Lord for his goodness and loving kindness? A suitable hymn to praise God Almighty for all he has done for me and my family. The 5th stanza is my favourite!

Keep waking up, with old hymns coming to mind. These hymns would have been sung in my church when I was a child ! Amazed that they are what the Spirit of the Lord is bringing to my remembrance.
