Rejoice, the Lord is King

E146 S73
1
Rejoice, the Lord is King,
  Your Lord and King adore;
Mortals, give thanks and sing
  And triumph evermore:

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;
  Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
2
His kingdom cannot fail;
  He rules o’er earth and heav’n;
The keys of death and hell
  Are to our Jesus giv’n:
3
Jesus, the Savior reigns,
  The God of truth and love:
When He had purged our stains
  He took His seat above:
4
He sits at God’s right hand
  Till all His foes submit,
And bow to His command,
  And fall beneath His feet:

I find this hymn delighting. It makes me love my Jesus more and more. I am very boastful in the Holiness of my savior. To know that only Him has the final say in heaven and on earth I feel so confident because His Holiness assures me of His righteousness peace and joy. I love you glorious Jesus.

Jesus is duly exalted in this hymn. It thrills me. It makes me boastful of His Holiness. Psalm 30v4

IV. Enjoying God by boasting,

exulting, and glorying in Him

In the realm of grace we boast in God (5:11). The Greek word translated boast has at least three meanings: boast, exult, meaning to rejoice, and glory. Thus, we boast in God, exult in God, and glory in God. As we stand in the realm of grace, and walk the way of peace, we constantly boast, exult, and glory in our God. This means that we enjoy God. God is our portion for our enjoyment. We have such a God in which to boast, exult, and glory.

Ooh I woke up with words Rejoice the Lord is king..... . His kingdom cannot fail, He rules over heaven and earth..... Went to Google and found the song. My spirit is revived by the assuarance that Jesus is Lord. Nothing will master my life, for He is Lord in my life till all his foes submit.

Hallelujah.

Life challenges woke me up in the night at around 4am and then I suddenly started hearing this hymn in my head, looked it up on google and I said, thank you Lord you haven't forsaken me. And I say thank you Lord ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹🩷

Romans 10:10 shows us 2 parts necessary to experience the riches of Christ unto salvation: our heart and our mouth. So let us lift up our voice and lift up our heart to be daily saved

I awakened thinking of this hymn---hearing it in my mind. My body felt sore and frail, but the morning scripture said that because Jesus was tempted in all ways that we are, He is able to help us/succor us . When I went to this hymn online, I was greatly encouraged and cheered to read comments made by sisters and brothers in the Lord who live in various countries. It has boosted my spirit greatly to know that throughout the world there are others rejoicing with me because our dear Lord is King. Indeed, the Lord is KIng! Praise and honor be to Him.

Just as my brother Isaac said in an earlier post, feeling anxious and in despair, we believers can only find relief in our Lord. This is Thanksgiving here in the states but I was not feeling to thankful, letting the living in the dark world get me down. But a sister sent me this hymn this morning and as I sang and meditated on the sweet words my heart was lifted! Thank You Lord Jesus!

I was feeling so down this morning. I was everything the Bible asked us not to be, worried, anxious and in despair. But I scanned through the scriptures to search for comfort. My spirit moved to Phil 4:6 but just I opened there, I chanced on the v4 and the hymn rang in my spirit so I decided to check the lyrics online again. Jesus is still Lord. Like Peter said, to whom shall we go?
