二、詩歌的曲調與主要負擔：為使人看見與主同死同復活是得勝，勝過一切消極的原則與經歷。但是本詩著重的強調與主的同死，雖然與主同復活的經歷是更內在更高的經歷，但是與主同死，確是得勝經歷的起點。在與主同死的經歷上，在這事上沒有捷徑沒有更快的路，在這事不需要人的肉體的聰明，在這事上如不先經歷與主同死，就不能經歷主的復活。但要經歷與主同死必須要倚賴基督復活的大能，腓立比書三章10節說到，使我認識基督並祂復活的大能，模成祂的死。所以與主同死的經歷在結晶上的說法，可以如此說；我們是在的復活裡來經歷與主同死的過程。
