I know not what awaits me, God kindly veils my eyes, And o’er each step of my onward way He makes new scenes to rise; And every joy He sends me comes A sweet and glad surprise.

Oh, blissful lack of wisdom, ’Tis blessed not to know; He holds me with His own right hand, And will not let me go, And lulls my troubled soul to rest In Him who loves me so.

So on I go not knowing; I would not if I might; I’d rather walk in the dark with God Than go alone in the light; I’d rather walk by faith with Him Than go alone by sight.

Where He may lead I’ll follow, My trust in Him repose; And every hour in perfect peace, I’ll sing, “He knows, He knows”; And every hour in perfect peace, I’ll sing, “He knows, He knows.”
This song brought me to Proverbs 3:5 which says “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, And do not rely on your own understanding”
We go through life trying to understand God in all the things we pass thru in our human life. Sometime we just need to trust that our Lord and Savior knows what he is doing. We can be brought into a trusting relationship with Him and allow Him to bring us into Himself as the real peace and rest no matter what we are going thru.
We must arm ourselves with a mind to suffer, but we should not only expect from God's hand harsh blows. For how can we go on if we only know the dealing work of God? This song reminds us that in over each step the Lord makes new scenes to rise; and sends every joy as a sweet and glad surprise.
One step I see before me,
’Tis all I need to see,
The light of heaven more brightly shines
When earth’s illusions flee;
And sweetly through the silence comes,
His loving, “Trust in Me! ”
How true! May the light of heaven more brightly shine as earth's illusions flee!
In the Song of Songs the Beloved Christ is repeatedly calling His seeking lover to follow Him: “Come away”, “Come with me”, and “Open to me” – 2:10; 4:8; 5:2. When His voice knocks upon our heart, and we do not know where He will lead us, we can be assured that it will be into a more intimate union and a deeper fellowship of love with Him!
Amen. Our only hope and trust is in our God.
And every hour in perfect peace,
I’ll sing, “He knows, He knows. ” Truly He knows!
...
I’d rather walk in the dark with God
Than go alone in the light;
I’d rather walk by faith with Him
Than go alone by sight.
The real light is God Himself. How can we see the reality of things outside of Him?
We may think that we see clearly about the future, yet our future is in His hand. Why not trust in Him, walk step by step with Him to know Him and His way.
Truly, He is making it for His purpose, for His goal. And we are in it.
Praise the Lord Jesus. No matter what awaits me I have already had You, my Lord. I am lack of wisdom in the world but am blissful from You. I am not alone because You hold me with Your right hand and don't want me to go. You make my troubled soul to have rest, because You love me so much! Hallelujah, I love You! I present all myself to You and fully trust You. I want to satisfy You but not people on the earth. In any trial, I will just be simply faith, to walk with You! Thanks for all saints' sharing which was so sweet to me. Let us keep our faith into our Lord Jesus and wait for our new Jerusalem's coming. Hallelujah!
