Come, O Thou Traveler unknown

Experience of Christ Fellowship with Him

Neue Melodien560
1
Come, O Thou Traveler unknown,
Whom still I hold but cannot see;
My company before is gone,
And I am left alone with Thee;
With Thee all night I mean to stay,
And wrestle till the break of day.
And wrestle till the break of day.

I need not tell Thee who I am,
My sin and misery declare;
Thyself hast called me by my name,
Look on Thy hands, and read it there;
But who, I ask Thee, who art Thou?
Tell me Thy name, and tell me now.
Tell me Thy name, and tell me now.
2
In vain Thou strugglest to get free;
I never will unloose my hold;
Art Thou the Man that died for me?
The secret of Thy love unfold;
Wrestling, I will not let Thee go,
Till I Thy name, Thy nature know.
Till I Thy name, Thy nature know.

Yield to me now, for I am weak,
But confident in self-despair;
Speak to my heart, in blessings speak,
Be conquered by my instant prayer;
Speak, or Thou never hence shalt move,
And tell me if Thy name be Love.
And tell me if Thy name be Love.
3
’Tis Love! ’tis Love! Thou diedst for me,
I hear Thy whisper in my heart;
The morning breaks, the shadows flee:
Pure, universal Love Thou art;
To me, to all Thy mercies move;
Thy nature and Thy name is Love.
Thy nature and Thy name is Love.

Lame as I am, I take the prey;
Hell, earth and sin, with ease o’ercome.
I leap for joy, pursue my way,
And, as a bounding hart, I run,
Through all eternity to prove
Thy nature and Thy name is Love.
Thy nature and Thy name is Love.

Gn 32:24 And Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the break of dawn.

Gn 32:25 And when the man saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated as he wrestled with Him.

Gn 32:26 And the man said, Let Me go, for the dawn is breaking. But Jacob said, I will not let You go unless You bless me.

Gn 32:27 And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.

Gn 32:28 And He said, Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.

Gn 32:29 And Jacob asked Him and said, Please tell me Your name. But He said, Why is it that you ask My name? And He blessed him there.

Gn 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for, he said, I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been preserved.

Gn 32:31 And the sun rose upon him as he crossed over Penuel, and he limped because of his hip. From the “Holy Bible Recovery Version, ” Living Stream Ministry

Lord Jesus

This is one of the deepest hymns I have ever came across. Lord let us have time to behold You to learn to know You.
