Just as I am

Gospel Coming to the Lord

Neue Melodien1048
1
Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
2
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
3
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
4
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind;
Yes, all I need, in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
5
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
6
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Has broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Any man that comes to the Lord without the image of his/her personality, is a hypocrite. Remember Proverbs 28v13&14, also John 3 v 18-21. This song tells us that no matter who you are, what you've done or not, God accepts, forgives & cleanses us totally by the blood that Jesus shed on the cross.

This son was sung the day you chose to be baptized. At Raleigh Millington Church of Christ. I have taken on being partially Catholic. I do the sign of the cross at the beginning of every prayer at Legacy Church of Christ. This son is sung far too often at my home church. One thing I've noticed is that no one goes forward to confess their sins. Not out of shame; we just don't have sinners. Love to you and blessing from Angels.

This hymn always reminds of the power of the Cross, in my helpless state God has always been there for me... He found just as I am... it gives me an encounter with the person of our Lord Jesus Christ whenever I listen to it.
