Don’t Forget (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Experience of Christ As the Indwelling One

1
Don’t you know? Don’t you know?
Jesus Christ is in you.
He is near, He is here—
He is in you!
He’s within, speak to Him,
Pour out your love on Him.
He is waiting for you to speak to Him...

Tell Him you love Him! Oh, just love Him!
He is this wonderful Person in you!
Don’t forget, don’t forget,
That you are not alone,
And then through you, His life will be made known.
2
Don’t forget, don’t forget,
That the Lord is in you.
He’s not far like the stars,
No, He’s in you.
If you fall, just recall:
There’s a Person in you.
Then with His strength you will rise up anew.

"From my youth I have sought to know how to live the Christian life, how to be holy, and how to be victorious. I have read many Christian publications on this subject. Eventually, I found out that not one of the ways presented in these books was really prevailing. According to my own experience, only the way of remembering that He is within us really works. The problem we have is that we often forget that He is within us. During our daily life, we just do not remember that the Lord as another One is with us. But when we do remember and realize that He is within us, everything is okay."

I am so impressed that the Lord is in us, He is here with us, as the one who desires to be loved. He is not here in a mighty, daunting way, but rather in a meek, gentle, desirous way. Wow!
