I’ve got a river of life flowing within me

Fullness of the Spirit As the Living Water

Neue Lieder37
1
I’ve got a river of life flowing within me;
It makes the lame to walk and the blind to see.
It opens prison doors, sets the captives free.
I’ve got a river of life flowing within me.

Spring up, O well, within my spirit!
Rise up and tell, so all can hear it!
Spring up, O well, so I experience
That life abundantly.
2
I’ve got a river of life flowing within me;
It started gushing up when God set me free.
That I keep the flow is my only plea.
I’ve got a river of life springing within me.
3
Once I call His name there’s a flow within;
It turns me from my day, makes Him Lord again.
As my spirit burns, Satan cannot win.
Calling, “Oh Lord Jesus,” keeps the flow within.

I really enjoyed this hymn with tears! My five American students and four Chinese students enjoyed it too in our home meeting last night!

I've got a river of life flowing within me
...................................
Spring up O well! within my spirit
Rise up and tell, so all can hear
Spring up, O well, so I experience
That life abundantly!

This happy song stirs up the young people's spirit, overflows from within them

and gushes into the gospel friends! Who can reject the overflowing of the river?

Amen! God can reach all people by this hymn! Give glory to Him!

Where besides on-line can we find this hymn? It is not in the black or young peoples hymn books?

The Recovery Version has a wonderful footnote on the well that the Israelites had to dig in order to enjoy the gushing water. This well is the Christ that is already inside of us, in our heart. So, we must dig away all the dirt, the barriers in our heart-mind, emotion, will, and conscience-so that the Spirit, the living water, may spring up and flow freely! Numbers 21:17-18

Spring up, O well!!!

O, spring up, brothers and sisters within our spirit so that we can experience the flowing.
