Give Yourself to Love the Lord

Consecration Constrained by the Lord

Neue Lieder160
1
Give yourself to love the Lord.
No other way is so prevailing
And no other way, no other way is so safe.
2
Give yourself to love the Lord.
No other way is so rich,
And so full, oh so full, of enjoyment.

Each morning we must rise up and say to Him,
“Lord Jesus, I love You.”
3
Give yourself to love the Lord.
Do not care for anything else;
Just love Him! Do not care!
Give yourself to love the Lord!

We are not our own, Lord;
All we have we give to You.
Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus!
Lord Jesus, we love You!

S.S. 3:9-10 "King Solomon made himself a palanquin of the wood of Lebanon. Its posts he made of silver, its bottom, of gold; its seat, of purple; its midst was inlaid with love from the daughters of Jerusalem."

The interior decoration of the palanquin was fitted with love, meaning that it is our responsibility to offer our love to Him. The Lord does not want anything from us other than our love.

The Lord made the palanquin, but it it decorated with our love.

The more we love Him, the more we will lose our character, personality, and our will.

May the Lord make of us such ones who seek to give ourselves to love Him.

I like this song because it encourages us to give our all and commit everything to the Lord Jesus. There's no other way, this is the safest way, the most prevailing way, the riches way and the sweetest way. Every morning upon rising up we must declare "Lord Jesus, I love You!".

I'm very happy because I've found the one who's altogether lovely!

When I love Him, I don't love myself. When I love Him, I don't love my soul-life. When I love Him, I don't love the world, nor my things. When I love Him, I don't care about my will, I don't care about anything but my Beloved!

Lord Jesus, I love You!

Draw me, and we will run after You!
