Über die Zahlennotation

Die Zahlennotation (auch Jianpu oder 简谱 genannt) schreibt jede Melodienote als Zahl von 1 bis 7 statt als Note auf einem Notensystem. Die Zahl zeigt die Stellung der Note in der Tonleiter des Liedes -- nicht ihre genaue Tonhöhe --, sodass dieselbe Melodie unabhängig von der gesungenen Tonart gleich aussieht.

Innerhalb einer Oktave entsprechen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 den bekannten Solmisationssilben Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti. Ein Punkt über einer Zahl hebt sie um eine Oktave an; ein Punkt darunter senkt sie um eine Oktave ab -- ohne Punkt bleibt es bei der mittleren, so geschriebenen Oktave.

Eine einzelne Zahl dauert einen Schlag. Ein Bindestrich (-) direkt nach einer Zahl hält dieselbe Note einen weiteren Schlag lang. Ein Strich unter einer Zahl verkürzt sie dagegen -- ein Strich ist ein halber Schlag, zwei Striche ein viertel Schlag. Eine 0 ist eine Pause: ein Schlag Stille.

Die Angabe oben auf dem Notenblatt, zum Beispiel "1=C" oder "1=Ab", zeigt, auf welcher Tonhöhe die Stufe 1 ("Do") liegt. Ein Lied in Moll trägt stattdessen die Angabe "6=X" -- Stufe 6 ("La") ist dann der eigentliche Grundton. Akkordsymbole über den Noten (wie "C" oder "G7") werden immer mit ihren gewohnten Buchstabennamen geschrieben, nie als Zahlen.

Bei der Angabe "1=C" klingen die Zahlen 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 als C D E F G A B. Bei "1=G" klingen dieselben Zahlen dagegen als G A B C D E F# -- gleiche Form, andere Tonart.

Coming across this song, is the Holy spirit that bring it to my mind to sing, early this morning, and I pray that my life fully become a channel of blessings to my generation, that I may flow the love of Christ to everyone I come across and also that the will of God can be do in my life. That the Lord will fill me with deep more of Him that I can flow of out freely to others.

My children and I came across this hymn, and are singing it to begin our homeschool day this week. After singing it for the first time today, I prayed to God; I put the lyrics into prayer. God gave us an opportunity to be a channel of His blessing for someone we have been praying for for over two months!

The Lord brought the chorus to my mind every time I was covering my father or holding his hand at the hospital. At one point I stopped to "hear" what was being played in my mind and this was the hymn. The Lord was showing His love for my father through me.
