Amazing hymn. It gives me strength when faced with hardships; especially in these unprecedented times. It gives me strength knowing that God will always take care of us.

Truly God has been taking care of us and each day we see his hands upon our households and neighborhood. He is the shelter in the times of storm. And this we know for certain that all things work good for them that are called according to his purpose and I if not all persuaded that is able to keep that which we have committed unto him while neither death nor sword nor famine nor things on earth nor in heaven can surely separate us from his love

During these trying times this hymn speaks very clearly a reassuring message. While our national and state governments, health officials, and others are doing the best they can in light of this virus, this is where we should take courage and peace in the knowledge and reassurance in that God indeed will take care of you.

The LORD continue to rest the souls of Civilla Durfee Martin (1866-1948) and Walter Stillman Martin (1862-1935) for this beautiful hymn. May His saints continue to be blessed by both the lyrics and the music.

This is the beautiful song I have ever heard... not only the tune.. but also the lyrics.. it tells the greatest hope that we can have in our Lord that "he will surely take care of us"..

This beautiful song reminds me of my late grandmother. I still see her singing this song with passion every night before we go to sleep. I have always believed that God grace was dwelling with throughout the night. It still makes me to shed a tear of joy and hope that God is still there for me now and always.
