O how deep and how far-reaching

Praise of the Lord His Love

English152
1
O how deep and how far-reaching
Is Thy love, dear Lord, to me!
Far beyond my pow’r to fathom,
Deeper than the deepest sea!
It has caused Thee death to suffer
And to me Thyself impart,
That in Thee I might be grafted
And become of Thee a part.
2
Who can tell of all the wonders
Which Thy love for me has wrought,
Yet the greatest of these wonders
Is that Thou to me art brought.
Oh! to me Thy love has given
All Thou art as my supply;
As true life I now may share Thee
And Thy riches e’er enjoy.
3
Lord, Thy love is the expression
Of Thy loving self divine,
Making life so full of meaning,
Harmonized with God’s design.
Grace of life, how all-sufficient,
Is my portion day by day;
I’m the object of Thy favor
And Thy sweetness taste alway.
4
What from Thee can separate me?
Thou wilt love me to the end!
Oh! Thy love is so prevailing,
E’en Thyself with me to blend!
We two one will be for ever;
I am Thine and Thou art mine!
This will be my testimony:
In Thy love we’ll ever twine!

Romans 8:33-35 and 37

Who shall bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ Jesus who died and, rather, who was raised, who is also at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?

But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

Apprehending the breadth,

length, height, and depth of Christ

Once the Lord has made His home in our hearts, Paul continues to say, the result is that we are “full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the breadth and length and height and depth are” (Eph. 3:18). Here the breadth, length, height, and depth refer to the breadth, length, height, and depth of the universe. Who can tell how wide is the breadth, how long is the length, how high is the height, and how deep is the depth of the universe? We all know that many, many solar systems constitute one galaxy, and many, many galaxies constitute the universe. The universe is boundless, and its breadth, length, height, and depth are also limitless. These dimensions are the dimensions of Christ; Christ is such an unlimited One. When Christ makes His home in our hearts for us to experience and enjoy, we find that this Christ, into whom we believe and whom we enjoy, know, and experience, is boundless and unsearchable.

Knowing the knowledge-surpassing love

of Christ in our experience

Verse 19a says, “To know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ. ” According to the context, this means that due to the Lord’s making His home in us, we can experience Him as the unsearchable One. Immediately we can also know His love; that is, we know that His love surpasses human knowledge and understanding. It is very strange that on the one hand, Christ’s love surpasses human understanding, but on the other hand, we can know it. Man can neither know nor understand this love, yet we who allow the Lord to make His home in us can know and experience it. According to our intellect, Christ’s love is knowledge-surpassing, and our mind can never understand it; according to our experience in our spirit, however, we can know it.

John 6:63 says:

It is the Spirit who gives life;
the flesh profits nothing;
the words which I have spoken to you
are spirit and are life.

The life that is in the Word includes a great deal. It includes holiness, love, humility, kindness, and patience. Life includes all the divine attributes and all the human virtues. We cannot exhaust the richness of life. Who can tell the riches of life? There is no need to speak of the divine life, for even the life in a carnation seed is very rich. It may be a tiny seed with seemingly a small amount of life in it, but it grows. As the carnation seed grows and blossoms, you can see the richness of life. All the riches are in the life. I ask you to consider the life we have, the life we touch. What riches are in the divine life! I have the full assurance to say that all the riches of God are in the church because the Word is in the church and the Word brings life. This life includes all the rich attributes, virtues, and qualities. As long as we have life, we have the riches. Do not try to be humble, for humility is like a bird. If you try to catch it, it flies away. Do not try to love your wife or to submit to your husband. You cannot do it. Simply take the Word. The Word brings life,

How can we have life? Simply take the Word and life comes. When life comes, every good thing comes with it. In this life is the humility and beauty of a human being. Since God created man in His image, there certainly is beauty in humanity. But this beauty of humanity can only be found in the divine life, and the divine life is in the divine Word. When the Word comes, life comes, and beauty comes with the life. Look at the church people; everyone is handsome and beautiful. If the same people were not in the church life, they would have the appearance of scorpions, turtles, or monkeys. I have truly fallen in love with the church people. Even the older ones are so lovely. This beauty, this loveliness, comes from life, and life comes from the Word. When God speaks, life is there. This life is so rich.

Hallelujah, nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus! Lord, we open to Your intercession. Have a way in us. Conform us to Your image! Praise the Lord! We need to be constrained by the love of Christ to be more than conquerors in all things! 😀
