Let me love and not be respected

Live thyself through us Lord Jesus. Live thyself through me Lord Jesus. Amen

This hymn is a description of brother Nee's life. " Let me love and not be respected;

Let me serve and not be rewarded;
Let me labor and not be remembered;
Let me suffer and not be regarded."

Brother Nee followed the Lord's pattern lived a life without "self". Lord, keep us faithful to follow Your path. Willing to suffer loss for the sake of Your building.

I cannot see how much farther I shall go;
Still I press on, knowing there is no return.
Let me follow Your pattern, so perfect and true,
Bearing all gratefully without complaint

God has no intention to deal with us severely; His intention is only for us to take Christ as Lord. To weep before the Lord is more precious than to be happy before men. What we find in the Lord is what cannot be found in our parents, wife and children. (CWWN, vol 11, pp. 771-772, 748-749)
