There shall be showers of blessing

English260

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing—
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord!
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we're confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

"There shall be showers of blessings" This a beautiful composition! The lyrics are sweetly arranged.. This song is both prophetic and fulfilling. It's widely used in our devotional services, has blessed our souls. Hence. I am joining with the writer: in saying send them upon us oh Lord! This the season of refreshing. Oh that today they might fall.

Have been singing this song, since I was a teenager. Today verse 5 read more meaning to me as the holy spirit show me the part that says "if we BUT TRUST and OBEY" I shall experience shower of blessing, also the part that says if I let GOD have his WAY. God please have your way in my life. Praise God
