I agree with the other comment - the original though not perfect was much, much better. This version to me is awkwardly translated which is quite distracting and somewhat too doctrinal, not in keeping with the spirit of this precious love song to the Lord. Please consider bringing back the original.

While I also wonder why the original words were changed, I do find enjoyment from both sets of lyrics. "I'd put off my self, just be filled with Thee" "Deep within I know you're my only love" "Jesus Lord, my best love thou art."

Is there a reason why the words were changed? The new words cannot simply capture the feelings in the original lyrics.
