What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?

Cumbered with a load of care?

If I don't have to comment, I must comment that Jesus is my friend. When friends and allies turned their back on me, when they think I have failed, Jesus got my back. Holding my hand, walking with me, WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS? ALLELUIA!!!
Note: Please brethren, do remember me in your prayers, that Christ find delight upon me, upon all of us ALWAYS in Jesus name I request. Amen.

I love this song. I was having a sleepless night and this song just struck across my mind and I have to look for the wordings and immediately I began to sing it & I felt relieved instantly and within a twinkle of an eye I dozed off. Jesus lives!

This song reminds me that one day all friends and acquaintances will depart from me and my only true friend - Jesus will be my only companion. I will love Him forever for He is my Saviour and Friend.

This is the hymn I have chosen for my Baptism on Easter Sunday. I lost my wife last year to cancer and God has helped me through the bad times. I now want to commit my life to Him through Baptism.
I was going through some rough times and when I prayed and took it to God, He came through for me. My boss was singing this song and it took me back to the needless pain and suffering I went through before finally letting God take over. THEY ARE AMAZING, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

i absolutely must know that Jesus is my best friend. He is the only one who will stick by me. I must focus on sticking by Him. Anyone who reads... I have said a prayer for all who listen to this. please pray for me. I have this one sin that I have struggled with since my 13th birthday. I am certain that if I will walk with Christ and let Him be my victory, I will have the wife and family my heart has been longing for. yes Jesus must be my greatest longing. pray that I make Him that. God bless!!!!

Love this hymn. We had it at my mum's funeral back in 2009. Been humming it all day.
