This hymn tells us man’s spirit which was born anew (John 3:3c) has been made alive must be exercised so we may experience God because man’s spirit is God’s dwelling place Eph. 2:22. “In whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit”. May we all exercise our spirit preciously made alive through Jesus Christ so man may contact God and enjoy God every which way!

Zachariah 12:1...... ”Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him, ” The verbs of this word are all present tense. This word says, the heavens stretches as the universe is constantly expanding, the earth is being laid as earth constantly quakes. At the same time the spirit of man is also being constantly formed when a baby is born. Regrettably except the Lord Jesus who led servants of God, such as Apostle Paul, Andrew Murray, Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and a minority of Christians noticed it.

The spirit of man was condemned to die by God at the fall of man, Gen. 2:17 “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, of it you shall not eat; for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. ” Which part man died? Man’s spirit. Eph 2:1 Apostle confirmed it “And you, though dead in your offenses and sins, Which part man died? Man’s spirit! By natural birth All men and women were born with a dead spirit. Thanks be to God, His Son Jesus Christ came and made man’s spirit come alive. Jesus says in John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ” How can this regeneration possible? John 3:15 says,

3:15 “That everyone who believes into Him may have eternal life. ” Only God’s life is eternal. To have eternal life is to have God’s life. To have man’s life is to be born of man. To have God’s life is to be born of God. Through this regeneration, man’s spirit comes alive.
