Who is on the Lord’s side

1
Who is on the Lord’s side?
  Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers,
  Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side?
  Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord’s side?
  Who for Him will go?
  By Thy grand redemption,
  By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord’s side;
    Savior, we are Thine.
2
Not for weight of glory,
  Not for crown and palm,
Enter we the army,
  Raise the warrior psalm;
But for love that claimeth
  Lives for whom He died;
He whom Jesus nameth
  Must be on His side.
3
Jesus, Thou hast bought us,
  Not with gold or gem,
But with Thine own life-blood,
  For Thy diadem;
With Thy blessing filling
  Each who comes to Thee,
Thou hast made us willing,
  Thou hast made us free.
4
Fierce may be the conflict,
  Strong may be the foe,
But the King’s own army
  None can overthrow.
Round His standard ranging
  Victory is secure,
For His truth unchanging
  Makes the triumph sure.
5
Chosen to be soldiers
  In an alien land:
Chosen, called, and faithful,
  For our Captain’s band;
In the service royal
  Let us not grow cold;
Let us be right loyal,
  Noble, true, and bold.

This song makes me feel happy.

I love hymnal. net, because it shows me the note for my instrument.

God bless.

An ancient song! How it kept us going, unwavering, untiring, for the LORD, with strength from the inner man, in the days we first believed. My heart longed for it this morning as I meditated on my message for the service.

This types of songs should come back on our altars in this age that the younger generation might come back on the firing line for the.

We are losing great revival as we neglected our Lord's instruction in Matthew 13:52. The age songs should not close the books of the Old Testament.

I remember this hymn from Sunday School as a child. When I was reading Exodus 32, I noticed Moses’ words, “Whoever is on the Lord side come to me! ” The Levites came, and God gave them a gruesome task. Apparently the work given to those who claim the Lord’s side is not always triumphant!

This song really started off my day well. I felt the Lord on my side and I was beside the Lord. I have never had a sweeter song since I came across it this morning. I think the Lord is calling us to abandon these earthly riches and pleasures and to follow Jesus wherever He calls you and me. God's blessings!

I woke with this song in my heart this morning and I decided to go through the lyrics to see what message the Lord had for me. I hereby declare Lord that I am on the Lord's side and I will go for you. This is indeed our Christian commitment to the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Lord even in the midst of apparent evil and injustice in our land, there are men who still declare for you. We are on the Lord’s side! Nigeria is Yours standing on Your word and for Your chosen people Israel and for Your eternal purpose—CHRIST!

I recall singing this song growing up. Used to be in the Adventist Hymnal without a chorus (I think). It's a rally call to every Christian who claims to hold the banner of Jesus. In our present world dominated by self, greed, so-so much evil, our orders as Christians is clear. I hope this song continues to inspire many others around the world.
