Have Thine own way, Lord

Consecration Yielding to the Lord

English449
1
Have Thine own way, Lord,
Have Thine own way;
Thou art the Potter,
I am the clay.
Mould me and make me
After Thy will,
While I am waiting,
Yielded and still.
2
Have Thine own way, Lord,
Have Thine own way;
Search me and try me,
Master, today.
Whiter than snow, Lord,
Wash me just now,
As in Thy presence
Humbly I bow.
3
Have Thine own way, Lord,
Have Thine own way;
Wounded and weary,
Help me, I pray.
Power, all power,
Surely is Thine,
Touch me and heal me,
Savior divine.
4
Have Thine own way, Lord,
Have Thine own way;
Hold o’er my being
Absolute sway.
Fill with Thy Spirit
Till all shall see
Christ only, always,
Living in me.

I pray that His Will will be done in my life, since His Ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are much better, much more full of understanding, than ours! (Isa .55:9) When we obediently obey to His Way, we'll find that truly "... all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose!" (Rom. 8:28) Praise be to Jesus!

"Thine own way" is a revelation of God! He has a way, and I have a way. Do I invite Him into my way, or let His way have preeminence in all things? Jesus before He went to the cross prayed with an exceeding sorrowful soul, "not as I will, but as You will". "Our Father...thy will be done..." in me as it is in Your heart!

Lord, don't let us win but gain our surrender to You. Gain our entire being until we hold nothing back. Continue saving us all our days.

It's a song of peaceful surrender. Times of surrender are times of breakthroughs for Christians. They are milestones of victories.

Lord, have Thine own way! You are our Potter and we are Your clay! Lord mold us and shape us that we might only see You! Touch us Lord that we might be so useful for You. We do not want to be set, settled or occupied. We want to absolutely for You!
