This hymn was my oldest daughter's favorite that we sang around campfires and at home. It was fitting to send her off to meet her Lord at the tender age of 30 recently. There was not a dry eye at her service. Indeed my wife and I look forward to meeting her in glory.

I have known this hymn since I was a small boy and with the years I find that this song speaks literally of my life's experience. Irrespective of where I have wandered in nearly 60 years since first meating Jesus I know my Saviour has me in the hollow of His hand.

I just love the second verse when it says "He taketh my burdens away". Each time I go through difficult times and I feel burdened by life's experiences I celebrate for through the second verse I know that it is time for God to take my burdens away.
Brings back childhood days of Mother singing gospel and teaching them to us so glad I learned them. What a beautiful song about God's goodness to us - love and blessing and all things good.

This is one of my favorite hymns, though I love them all because of the love Of God through Christ our Saviour! I get tears in my eyes every time I listen because God is so good to love me, who does not deserve it, but for His cleansing blood!!! Glory to GOD!!

20 years ago my husband left me. I spent sometime at home nearly 3000 miles away. I sat on the rocky beach one morning distressed and alone and from behind me I heard a rippling waterfall. I immediately thought of these words and at that moment my wonderful Saviour brought me out of my despair and heartache. I knew He would take care of me. The past 20 years have been very difficult at times, but I never forget this song. In these days I'm experiencing what most women go through and it has taken away my joy. I've again turned to this song and it gives me peace to know that my Wonderful Jesus is still as lovely and present as He ever was. And I give Him heartfelt thanks today.
