Come, Thou Fount of every blessing

Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wand’ring from the face of God; He, to save my soul from danger, Interposed His precious blood. |

O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let that grace, Lord, like a fetter, Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee. Teach me, Lord, some rapturous measure, Meet for me Thy grace to prove, While I sing the countless treasure Of my God’s unchanging love. |

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it; Prone to leave the God I love: Take my heart, oh, take and seal it With Thy Spirit from above. Rescued thus from sin and danger, Purchased by the Savior’s blood, May I walk on earth a stranger, As a son and heir of God. |

I printed this hymn in 2007 from cyberhymnal. org website. (Is this now that same website? ) There was another verse that has been eliminated. Why? Here it is:
O that day when freed from sinning,
I shall see thy lovely face;
Clothed then in blood washed linen
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;
Come my Lord, no longer tarry,
Take my ransomed soul away;
Send thine angels now to carry
Me to realms of endless day.

Robert Robinson (1735-1790) wrote this hymn when he was 22 years old in 1757. Later he wondered away from the Lord and his walk became lukewarm.
One day, when he was riding a stagecoach, a young woman entered the coach singing this hymn after having attended a church meeting. He said crying to her that he had penned that hymn years ago as a young believer and would give a thousand worlds to enjoy that feeling again when he first wrote it. The woman replied “Streams of mercy are still never ceasing”

Is this some of the music you sing when in church? It's beautiful...

This song always touches my heart ever since my Dad taught me how to sing when I was a kid and I'm still alive to keep on singing it. Indeed God has been good to me.
